How to Prepare for the AP Exams

AP Exams are just around the corner, and can be a daunting experience. Especially if you're taking them with the hopes of knocking off college credits, or to move ahead quicker in high school. Regardless of your reasonings, we're here with some tips to help you do the best you can.

Start Early.

AP Exams are a difficult challenge, and not one that can be crammed into a week or so of studying. This is a culmination of what you've learned throughout the year, therefore it's imperative to start studying well before the test date. If you haven't already started studying, now is the time to do so. Come up with a study plan or schedule to help you stay on track, and find a way to study that makes sense for you.

Practice Practice Practice.

Practice tests can be found online at The College Boards website. Past exams from previous years are a great way to help you understand the kinds of questions that will be asked, and give you some great ideas as to what you will need to focus your studying on. The College Board releases past exams for most every subject every few years, and this is one of the best ways to see what the exam structure will be like.

Get Help and Give Help.

Getting a study group together is another great way to compare study guides, share resources, and help each other figure out problems. It also provides a source of accountability and dedication to your study schedule rather than you doing it alone. Furthermore, getting the chance to teach others ensures you yourself know the subject, and is a great opportunity to figure out what you need to study more of.
